We start with the filling:
Melt the butter in a saucepan over low heat, then add the bread crumbs and mix well.
Remove the seeds from the cherries, with a knife, then mix them in a bowl with the sugar, the lemon juice and the mixture of bread crumbs and melted butter.
For the dough:
In a bowl mix together the flour, sugar, oil, the hot water and the salt. Work the mixture vigorously until the mixture it becomes smooth and homogeneous.
Preparing the strudel:
With a rolling pin or with a special machine, roll out the dough into a thin sheet, then add the filling previously prepared over a little less than half of the pastry and use the remainder to completely cover the filling closing the dough thoroughly.
Make small holes on the strudel with the tip of a fork and put it to bake in a preheated oven at 220 ° C for about 40 minutes.
Once ready, let it cool before serving.
