  1. We start with the filling: Melt the butter in a saucepan over low heat, then add the bread crumbs and mix well.
  2. Remove the seeds from the cherries, with a knife, then mix them in a bowl with the sugar, the lemon juice and the mixture of bread crumbs and melted butter.
  3. For the dough: In a bowl mix together the flour, sugar, oil, the hot water and the salt. Work the mixture vigorously until the mixture it becomes smooth and homogeneous.
  4. Preparing the strudel: With a rolling pin or with a special machine, roll out the dough into a thin sheet, then add the filling previously prepared over a little less than half of the pastry and use the remainder to completely cover the filling closing the dough thoroughly.
  5. Make small holes on the strudel with the tip of a fork and put it to bake in a preheated oven at 220 ° C for about 40 minutes. Once ready, let it cool before serving.
