To prepare the fettuccine Alfredo, start by boiling plenty of water for the noodles.
When the water is boiling place the fettuccine noodles in it, mixing occasionally to prevent them from sticking to each other. Towards the end of cooking, take a couple of ladles of water from the pasta, which will serve after.
When the noodles are cooked, drain them al dente. Meanwhile prepare a bowl in which you will put the butter, softened at room temperature and the fettuccine. Mix well so as to melt the butter and not to stick the fettuccine together.
Then add the grated cheese and continue stirring, adding a little of the cooking water you saved before, until the cheese is melted and the sauce you will get, will be smooth and uniform (8). Season with salt and pepper and enjoy your fettuccine Alfredo!
